Step 1
Select mass or volume exactly as specified on the product instructions.
Split a known total or a known amount of part A using the exact A:B ratio and mass or volume basis specified by your product.
Use the manufacturer’s instructions for the exact product. This calculator does not recommend a formulation, cure schedule, pouring depth or chemical handling procedure.
Known total T: A = T × a ÷ (a + b), B = T × b ÷ (a + b). Known A: B = A × b ÷ a, total = A + B.
Worked example
A hypothetical 2:1 ratio by mass and a 300 g total gives A = 200 g and B = 100 g. A 2:1 volume ratio with a 300 mL total gives 200 mL and 100 mL; it does not imply those gram amounts.
Select mass or volume exactly as specified on the product instructions.
Enter the A and B ratio parts. Choose a known combined total or a known amount of A.
Read the two components in the selected unit. Use the specified basis when measuring.
Changing the basis clears the ratio and amount fields. It does not convert them. Re-enter the ratio supplied for the selected basis.
No. Ratio fields start blank. Example values are labelled arithmetic examples and must not be used as product instructions.
Calculate rectangular or cylindrical mold cavity volume using inside dimensions, quantity and your chosen extra allowance.
